Four features do the work. An ear recess takes pressure off the ear when you're on your side. A curved shoulder recess lets your shoulder sit naturally rather than being pushed up. A rounded neck edge supports the curve of your neck. And contoured ventilation channels across the surface let heat escape from your face rather than building up under the mask.
